I saw this incredible lizard wandering around the asphalt parking lot when I was leaving my doctor’s office in Stuart, Florida. Your May 2009 photo showed up when I asked “OK Google, show me orange and black lizards” and although the one I saw must have been this variety it only seemed to display two intense colors 100% purity. It looked like a shiny black lizard on fire and perhaps lost or partially tame since it was out on the hot parking lot rather then hiding in the scrubs. I can’t get it out of my mind.
